Ingredients

1 c. margarine or butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. light brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. vegetable oil
1 c. regular oats
1 c. crushed corn flakes or any good cereal on hand
3 1/2 c. plain flour
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. coconut (optional, I use frozen if I use nay)
1/2 c. ground pecans
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Cream together butter, sugars and egg. Mix well.
Add remaining ingredients in order given, except pecans.
Mix well.
Stir in pecans.
You may form dough into balls the size of walnuts.
Place on ungreased cookie sheets and flatten with fork.
Bake at 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0 according to your oven for 15 minutes, until just lightly browned.
Do not overcook.
Let cool a few minutes before removing from pans. Makes approximately 6 dozen cookies.
