Grandma'S White Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. skim milk
5 egg whites
1/3 c. sugar

Note:
If your cake flour has the baking powder and salt already in it, then omit these 2 ingredients.
