Rich Dinner Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. warm (not hot) water
    3 pkg. active dry yeast
    1 1/2 c. lukewarm milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    8 to 9 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. soft shortening (2 sticks oleo)
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Soak yeast in warm water for 5 minutes.
    Pour milk over sugar and salt in a large bowl.
    Stir until dissolved.
    Beat in 1 cup flour, shortening, eggs and yeast mixture.
    Add remaining flour to make a soft dough.
    When dough leaves sides of bowl, turn out onto a lightly floured board (counter).
    Knead until dough becomes smooth and elastic.
    Place in a lightly greased bowl.
    Grease top of dough.
    Cover with waxed paper.
