Cheesy Corn Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (12 oz.) can whole kernel corn
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    3 Tbsp. margarine
    3 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. milk
    1 c. grated New York sharp cheese
    1 tsp. sugar
    salt and pepper
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. buttered bread crumbs
Preparation
    Saute onion and green pepper until onion is transparent.
    Stir in flour until smooth and then add milk gradually, stirring constantly.
    Cook and stir until thickened.
    Remove from heat; add cheese, salt, pepper and sugar.
    Stir together, then add beaten eggs.
    Pour into greased 7 x 10-inch Pyrex casserole.
    Top with bread crumbs which have been tossed with 2 teaspoons of melted margarine.
    Set in shallow pan of hot water.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes.
