Blackeyed Peas & Ham - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. margarine
2 Tbsp. oil
1 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped celery
1 tsp. dried thyme leaves
2 bay leaves
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 lb. canned Griffin's Blackeyed Peas
1 can whole tomatoes (undrained)
1 to 1 1/2 lb. ham slices
1 med. onion
4 cloves
Preparation
-
In hot margarine & oil saute: chopped onion, celery, thyme leaves, bay leaves, Stirring 5 minutes.
Add salt & black pepper to taste, 1/4 c. brown sugar.
