Aunt Sally'S Cocoa Drops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    3/4 c. buttermilk or sour milk
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Mix shortening, sugar and egg.
    Stir in buttermilk and vanilla. Stir dry ingredients together and stir into creamed mixture.
    Add nuts.
    Chill 1 hour.
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Drop with teaspoonful 2 inches apart onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
    Cool.
    Frost with icing.
