Toffee Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
powdered sugar
Preparation

Mix all ingredients together, except pecans and powdered sugar, and spread in a 15 x 11-inch pan.
Whip egg white into soft peaks and spread over batter.
Sprinkle with chopped pecans over batter. Bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
Cut after 15 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
