Homemade Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/4 c. shortening
    butter (optional)
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients; mix well with a fork.
    Roll out dough using rolling pin on floured cutting board.
    Cut out biscuits. Place in a well-greased pan.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until brown.
    Spread butter on top while hot.
    Pop open while hot and stuff with butter, jelly or gravy of your choice.
