Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small angel food cake (pound cake or 1 layer yellow cake)
    1 large red Jell-O made with 3 c. water
    2 (16 oz.) cans crushed pineapple
    1 large size pkg. vanilla instant pudding (use slightly less milk)
    2 bananas
    1 (16 oz.) cherry pie filling
    1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip
Preparation
    Layer pieces of cake in bottom of punch bowl.
    Pour prepared Jell-O over cake.
    Add pineapple with juice.
    Slice bananas over pineapple.
    Add pie filling.
    Reserve 5 or 6 cherries for garnish. Top with Cool Whip and garnish with reserved cherries and pecan pieces.
    Refrigerate several hours or overnight.
