Cheese Rounds - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. shredded Cheddar
    1/4 lb. softened butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
Preparation
    Mix together cheese, butter, salt and nuts.
    Gradually stir in flour.
    Blend well but don't overmix.
    Turn out onto wax paper and shape into roll approximately 1 1/2 inch in diameter.
    Wrap in plastic or wax paper and chill several hours.
    Slice in quarter-inch pieces.
    Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 325\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until lightly browned at edges.
    Makes 5 1/2 dozen.
