Rocky Mountain Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. turkey bacon or bacon
    1 bunch green onions
    3 1/4 c. chicken broth
    1 1/2 lb. potatoes, 1/2-inch diced
    1 c. sliced carrots
    1 red bell pepper
    1 medium zucchini, sliced
    1 c. whole kernel corn
    2 c. low-fat milk
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    In a heavy pot over medium heat, brown bacon.
    Pour off fat, if any.
    Add white and light green parts of onions (reserve 1/2 cup dark tops.)
    Cook and stir 1 minute.
