Angel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. Karo syrup (light)
    2 egg whites
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until they hold a stiff peak (at least 2 minutes).
    Put first 3 ingredients in a pan and stir.
    Put on stove and bring to a boil (use medium heat).
    Boil syrup until it spins a 6 to 8-inch thread or 242\u00b0.
    Pour hot syrup slowly into egg whites beating all the time.
    Beat until frosting holds its shape (soft peaks).
    This frosting forms a crust, like divinity.
