Corn Fritters * - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. sugar
2 c. (12 oz. can) whole kernel corn, drained
1 Tbsp. melted shortening
1/2 c. milk
1 egg, slightly beaten
Preparation

Mix and sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
Beat egg, melted shortening and milk together.
Add corn to dry ingredients, then add to egg mixture.
Mix well.
Drop spoonfuls into hot oil and fry until golden brown.
Drain.
Makes about 12 fritters.
