Yeast Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 yeast cake
    4 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. buttermilk
    4 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in 2 tablespoons warm water.
    Add buttermilk. Mix dry ingredients which have been sifted together and blended with shortening.
    Knead and roll out or knead and put in bowl in icebox.
    Use as needed.
