Crab Camembert Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 to 8 oz.) can crab meat
    8 to 9 oz. Camembert cheese
    1/2 c. butter
    2 Tbsp. minced parsley
    1 clove garlic
    1/2 tsp. dried basil
    1 loaf unsliced French bread
    1 can mushrooms (optional)
Preparation
    Drain crab and flake.
    Remove cheese rind and cut into chunks. Melt butter in a saucepan; add cheese, parsley, garlic and basil, on medium heat until blended; stir constantly.
    Fold in crab.
    Cut bread in half lengthwise and dig out small ditch in center of bread.
    Spread in crab/cheese mixture (mushrooms are optional). Place on a baking sheet.
    Brown 5 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Slice in 1/2-inch pieces and serve immediately.
    Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
