Arroz Con Black-Eyed Peas(Rice With Black-Eyed Peas) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 lb. bacon, chopped and fried
    extra large onion, chopped and added
    4 medium cloves garlic, chopped and added
    1 medium green pepper, chopped and added
    4 c. rice (raw)
    8 to 10 oz. homemade tomato sauce
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    46 oz. water
    1 (1 lb.) can black-eyed peas
Preparation
    Cook 1st four items on simmer.
    Add rice, liquids and seasonings; stir well and bring to boil.
    Add peas.
    Cover and simmer 25 minutes or until all liquid is absorbed.
