Aunt Dixie'S Company Best Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 medium cucumbers
    8 c. sugar
    4 c. vinegar
    5 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. mixed spices
Preparation
    Cover whole cucumbers with boiling water; let stand overnight. Drain.
    Repeat the procedure 4 more days.
    On the fifth day, drain and slice in 1/2-inch pieces.
