Coconut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 3/4 c. sifted cake flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. granulated sugar
    1 tsp. pure vanilla
    3 eggs (unbeaten)
    1 c. milk
    3/4 c. shredded coconut (packaged or canned)
Preparation
    Measure sifted flour.
    Add baking powder and salt.
    Sift together.
    Cream the butter until light and fluffy.
    Add sugar gradually and beat until smooth and creamy.
    Add vanilla and beat well.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
    Add flour alternately with the milk, beating after each addition until smooth.
    Fold in coconut.
    Pour batter into a 10-inch tube pan which has been greased and floured.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean.
    Cool in pan for 15 minutes, then remove.
