Potato Balls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 potatoes
1 tsp. chopped ginger root
1/3 to 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp. cumin
1 1/2 c. besan (chick pea flour)
1/3 c. water
1/3 c. yogurt
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. turmeric
pinch of soda
Preparation

Cook potatoes, peel and mash adding first 3 ingredients.
Make up a batter with the rest of the ingredients.
Heat oil about 2 inches deep and form walnut-size balls of the mashed potato mix; dip in batter and fry.
Drain and serve with catsup or chutney.
