Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. cocoa
2 oz. red food coloring
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vinegar
Preparation

Make a paste of the cocoa and food coloring.
Cream the shortening with the sugar.
Add eggs.
Combine flour with salt. Add alternately with buttermilk to creamed mixture.
Fold in baking soda and vinegar with spoon.
Use a round tube pan for Ding Dong Cake recipe or use three 8-inch cake pans.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
