Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. margarine or butter, softened
    1 c. dark Karo
    2 eggs
    dash of salt
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
    Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Pour into pie shell. Bake for about 1 hour.
    Test for doneness by shaking pie plate. (Middle should shake a little.)
    Don't overbake.
