Butterscotch Yams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium yams, cooked, peeled and quartered or 2 cans (17 oz.), well drained
    1/2 c. Karo syrup (light or dark)
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/4 c. heavy cream or half and half
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Arrange yams in single layers in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Bake in 325\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes.
    In heavy 2-quart saucepan combine remaining ingredients, stirring constantly.
    Bring to a boil over medium heat and boil 5 minutes.
    Pour over yams.
    Bake, basting frequently 15 minutes longer or until glazed.
    Makes 6 servings.
