Apricot Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. apricots
    1/2 c. butter
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1/3 c. flour, sifted
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. packed dark brown sugar
    2 eggs (room temperature)
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Rinse apricots.
    Cover with water; boil for 10 minutes.
    Let cool.
    Chop cooled apricots.
    Mix into crumbs with a pastry blender the butter, sugar and 1 cup flour.
    Press crumbs into a square 8 x 8-inch baking dish.
    Bake for 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    With a whisk, beat eggs lightly.
    Add brown sugar, 1/3 cup flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla.
    Stir until smooth.
    Add chopped apricots. Spread apricot mixture over just out of the oven hot baked layer; bake another 30 minutes.
