Mississippi Mud Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. cocoa
    1 c. nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 pkg. small marshmallows
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs and beat.
    Sift flour, cocoa and salt together and add to mix.
    Add vanilla and nuts; pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
    Remove from oven and spread marshmallows evenly over cake.
    Return to oven for 5 minutes.
