Caramel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. light brown sugar
    1/2 c. cream
    1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In a heavy saucepan, combine brown sugar and cream.
    Cook several minutes with lid on.
    Remove lid and bring to a boil. Allow to boil several minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Add butter; remove from heat and cool to lukewarm.
    Add vanilla and beat until thick and creamy; spread on cake.
    Very good on angel food cake.
