Cherry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 c. milk
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 qt. pitted sour cherries (fresh)
    flour to stiffen batter (2 1/4 c.)
Preparation
    Beat sugar and eggs.
    Add milk.
    Sift flour and baking powder together. Add flour and baking powder mixture to egg and milk mixture.
    Add cherries to batter. (Batter is stiff enough if cherries don't sink to the bottom.)
    Pour into buttered casserole dishes (one large and one small).
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Test for doneness with cake tester.
