Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter
3 Tbsp. Crisco
1 box brown sugar
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs
1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Preparation

Cream together butter, Crisco and brown sugar.
Sift together flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon and add to creamed mixture. Mix together eggs and nuts and add to flour mixture.
Line one or more loaf pans with wax paper and flatten dough into loaf pans, making sure to tap down well.
Store in refrigerator overnight. Just before baking, slice thin and place on greased cookie sheet. Return to refrigerator to keep cool until ready to use.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
