Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. raw peanuts
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/4 c. white Karo syrup
    2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cook peanuts, sugar and syrup until mixture is light brown (about 8 to 10 minutes after boiling begins) on medium heat. Remove from heat.
    Add soda and mix very well.
    Pour onto lightly buttered cookie sheet to cool.
    Break into pieces.
