Fruitcake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. mixed candied fruit
1 lb. whole pitted dates
1/2 lb. candied cherries
1 c. raisins
1 c. pecans and walnuts
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1 c. butter
2 c. white sugar
4 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves and nutmeg
1 tsp. soda
orange juice (to baste)
Preparation

Put first 3 items in 6-quart bowl.
Sift dry ingredients (flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves).
Take out 1/2 cup of this and add this to fruit to coat.
