Ingredients

4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 Tbsp. butter
3 eggs
1 c. milk
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. baking soda
oil (375~)
Preparation

Mix all ingredients and knead on floured table; roll out and cut with doughnut cutter.
Deep fat fry in 2
to 3-inches of vegetable oil until golden brown.
Roll in powdered sugar.
