Herbed Pork Roast - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 lb. pork loin
3 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. thyme
2 tsp. nutmeg
2 carrots
2 onions
2 cloves garlic
4 whole cloves
celery leaves
3 bay leaves
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can consomme
1/2 c. water
parsley leaves
Preparation

Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
Rub meat with salt and pepper.
Bake uncovered for 20 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350\u00b0.
Dump sliced carrots, onions, garlic, cloves, celery leaves, parsley leaves and bay leaves around roast.
Pour in water and consomme; cook uncovered for 2 hours.
Baste frequently.
Before serving, put roast on platter.
Skim of fat.
Work vegetables and liquid through a sieve.
Serve on roast.
