Alabama Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1 1/4 c. warm milk or water
    1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Mix yeast with warm water or milk and add other ingredients. Knead more than biscuits, but not as much as rolls.
    Cut with biscuit cutter 1/4-inch thick.
    Brush with butter.
    Fold in half and let rise 1 hour.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 until brown.
