German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 large potatoes
    6 to 8 slices bacon
    1 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. celery seed
    dash of pepper
    3/4 c. water
    1/3 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Peel and thinly slice the potatoes.
    Cook until just tender. Drain and set aside.
    In large skillet, fry bacon until crisp; remove and drain.
    Cook onion in bacon drippings until golden brown.
    Stir in flour, sugar, salt, celery seed and pepper.
    Cook until bubbly, stirring constantly, over low heat.
    Remove from heat; stir in water and vinegar.
    Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
    Boil and stir 1 minute.
    Crumble bacon.
    Carefully stir bacon and potatoes into hot mixture.
    Heat thoroughly and serve while hot.
