Grandma Jones' Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 large eggs
    1 lb. butter
    3 1/2 c. sifted plain flour
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring
    2 2/3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Separate eggs and beat whites with 6 tablespoons of sugar, added gradually.
    Put in refrigerator. Cream butter and rest of sugar; then add egg yolks and blend on medium speed.
    Set on lowest speed and add flour and evaporated milk alternately; add flavorings.
    Then quickly fold in egg whites.
    Pour into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
    Bake approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until cake tester comes out clean.
