Pralines #3 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
    1/2 c. undiluted evaporated milk
    1 c. nuts, coarsely broken
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Butter sides of heavy 2-quart saucepan.
    Combine sugars and milk.
    Heat and stir over low heat until dissolved.
    Increase heat and cook to fine thread stage (230\u00b0).
    Remove from heat; add butter and nuts.
    Continue cooking until soft ball stage (236\u00b0). Cook 5 minutes.
    Beat until slightly thickened.
