German Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe

3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
1 bar German's sweet chocolate
3 egg yolks
2 Tbsp. margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. butter flavoring
1 c. coconut
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Combine sugar, flour, salt and 1/2 cup cold milk.
Mix well. Scald remaining milk and add chocolate.
Stir until chocolate is melted.
Add scalded milk and chocolate to first mixture and cook until thickened.
Separate egg yolks.
Beat egg yolks slightly and add slowly to hot mixture, stirring constantly.
Continue to cook over low heat about 2 or 3 minutes.
Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients.
Cool and pour into 9-inch pie shell.
Chill and top with whipped cream.
