Chicken Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. chicken fryer or parts
    1 celery stalk
    1 onion
    poultry seasoning
    3 to 4 heaping Tbsp. chicken soup base
    1 c. rice
    1/2 c. barley
    1 to 2 c. diced potatoes
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 c. diced carrots
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Boil
    chicken in water with chopped celery, onion and a dash of\tpoultry
    seasoning.
    When cooked, remove bones, skin and fat. Add meat to broth.\tAdd chicken soup base (dissolved in
    4 to 5 cups
    warm water), rice, barley, potatoes, carrots, oregano, salt and pepper to taste.
    Simmer until cooked.
