Strawberry Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. strawberries
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    6 c. sugar
Preparation
    Clean and core strawberries.
    Put in cold water.
    Drain, then put the berries, sugar and lemon juice in a 6-quart pot. Stir just to dissolve the sugar. When starts to boil, turn to medium or low heat so it won't boil over. Cook for 1 hour until candy thermometer reads 224\u00b0.
    Put into jars.
