Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. dry active yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    2 c. warm buttermilk
    5 c. all-purpose flour
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. salt
    1 c. Crisco, melted
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water; let set 5 minutes.
    Stir in buttermilk; set aside.
    In large bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt.
    Cut in shortening with pastry blender; blend until mixture resembles corn meal.
    Stir in yeast and milk mixture.
    Mix well.
    Place on a floured kneading board.
    Knead 3 or 4 minutes.
    Roll into 1/2 inch thickness.
    Cut with biscuit cutter.
    Place on cookie sheets.
    Brush with melted butter.
    Bake at 450\u00b0.
    Yields 2 1/2 dozen.
