Cornmeal Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. milk
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. yellow cornmeal
Preparation

Stir shortening until creamy.
Add sugar gradually.
Mix well. Add eggs, beating until light.
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and cornmeal.
Add to first mixture alternately with milk.
Pour into greased muffin tins.
Bake 25 minutes in 400\u00b0 oven.
(Mixer can be used on slow speed.)
