Angel Food Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2 c. boiling water
    1 c. crushed pineapple, drained
    1 baked pie shell
    1/4 c. cornstarch
    2 egg whites, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift sugar and cornstarch 3 times.
    To this mixture, add boiling water and boil until thick (5 minutes).
    Pour over beaten egg whites and beat well.
    Add pineapple and vanilla.
    Pour into pastry shell and top with whipped cream.
