Grandma Giannelli'S Artichokes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large artichokes
    2 eggs
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    4 c. Italian bread, crumbled
    3/4 c. water
    1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 stick pepperoni, cut into small pieces
    1 tsp. olive oil
    1 c. crushed tomatoes
    1 whole clove garlic
Preparation
    Using a sharp knife, cut the stem off each artichoke to make a flat base.\tPull off tough outer leaves.
    Cut off about 1/2 inch off the top of each artichoke and open tops with your fingers. Invert the\tartichokes
    on\ta flat surface, pressing down on each one
    to
    open
    its\tleaves.
    Moisten
    bread
    with water.
    Combine all other
    ingredients
    and
    add to bread mixture.\tDivide filling into
    four\tequal
    parts
    and stuff into artichokes, center first, then
    add
    some
    filling between the leaves.
