Hardtack Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. white Karo syrup
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Boil to 300\u00b0.
    Add flavoring, oil and food coloring.
    Pour on greased cookie sheet or marble.
    Grease hands and scissors with butter and cut into pieces while hot.
    One batch makes 6 jelly jars full.
