Pickled "Uncooked" Cucumbers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 c. cucumbers
    1 c. chopped green or red peppers
    1 c. chopped onions
    1 Tbsp. kosher salt
    1 c. white vinegar
    1 1/2 c. white sugar
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Peel and slice cucumbers.
    In a large bowl, mix all ingredients.
    Spoon into jars.
    (A used
    mayonnaise jar will work well.)
    Place plastic or foil over mouth of jar before tightening cover.
    First day, turn jars upside-down.
    Stand on top.
    Second day, turn jars right side up.
    Third day, turn jars upside-down. Fourth day, enjoy with sandwich.
    Nice with hamburgers, meat loaf, baked beans, chicken salad, etc.
