Hungarian Crackling Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    3 c. ground cracklings
    1 c. sour cream
    3 whole eggs
    1/4 c. water or enough to make a soft dough
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Sift all dry ingredients together, then rub in cracklings. Combine eggs, sour cream and water.
    Add to dry ingredients.
    Mix lightly to form a soft dough, but firm dough.
    Roll out on a floured board to 1/2-inch.
    Cut with a small, round cookie cutter. Make impressions on top with knife crisscross fashion and place on a cookie sheet 1/2 inch apart.
    Brush top with beaten egg and bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes.
