Beef Burgundy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. top sirloin beef
    1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    10 or 12 sweet pearl onions
    1 c. Burgundy wine
    1 c. water
    1 pkg. pork gravy mix
    3 Tbsp. Crisco oil
Preparation
    One tablespoon oil, 2 tablespoons wine, lite salt and pepper and garlic powder, add meat marinade in small bowl in fridge one hour.
    Cut meat across the grain into 1 1/2-inch thick strips. Brown in remaining oil until just past medium.
    Put in mushrooms, just enough to warm them.
    Add 1 cup water and 1 cup wine.
    Take off fire to add gravy mix.
    Put back on fire; add onions and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
    Serve over noodles or mashed potatoes.
