Marinated Chinese Vegetable Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 oz. can Chinese vegetables
    8 oz. can tiny green peas
    8 oz. can French sliced green beans
    small jar chopped pimento
    1 c. diagonally sliced celery
    2 small onions, sliced, separated into rings (red/purple onions)
    1 c. sliced almonds
Preparation
    Marinate at least 24 hours in these ingredients:
    1 cup sugar, dissolved in 1/2 cup dark vinegar; add 1/4 cup oil and 1 teaspoon salt and pepper.
