Raisin Nut Cookies - cooking recipe

2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. buttermilk
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. black walnuts
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. cloves
Preparation

Blend sugar and shortening; add eggs.
Beat well.
Add buttermilk.
Mix well.
Grind raisins and black walnuts together. Mix to cream mixture.
Mix the dry ingredients with the flour. Add dry mixture to the creamed mixture; mix until well blended. Drop onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 minutes, or until brown.
