Ingredients

1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. melted butter
3 1/2 c. flour
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Mix sugar and eggs.
Add milk and beat thoroughly.
Stir in remaining ingredients; mix lightly.
Toss dough onto a floured board and roll out until it is one third of an inch thick.
Cut with doughnut cutter.
Fry in deep fat, turning to brown both sides.
Makes 3 dozen.
