Chicken Casserole - cooking recipe

1 large fryer
1 chopped onion
8 oz. pkg. medium egg noodles
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can mushroom soup
1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
salt and pepper to taste
7 slices bread
Preparation

Cook the fryer in water with the onion until done. (Use enough water to have 4 cups broth.) Cool. Take chicken off bone. Cook the noodles until done; rinse. Put into large baking dish or pan. Add chicken and broth, chicken soup, mushroom soup and sour cream. Mix all together. Add salt and pepper to taste. (You can mix in large bowl and then pour in pan to bake.) Cut the bread into cubes with scissors. Sprinkle on top. Bake at 350\u00b0 until golden brown and not too soupy.
